Recently I was thinking how Kirtanananda got away with murder. This article by Navadvipachandra das explains it. If Radhanath Swami was involved or not is a mystery.
However, it is for sure that Kirtanananda had been disobeying Srila Prabhupada since 1968.
This is very clear from Srila Prabhupada's letters to him from this time.
Growing beards and other things, giving up devotional dress seems innocent compared to Kirtanananda's later crimes of child molestation and murder. Personally we have talked to devotees that have witnessed Kirtanananda's child molestation. I told Devamrita Swami about this in 1990, but he and others were so blinded by Kirtanananda and his many deviations, and were faithfully serving this asura.
Kirtanananda loved to break-up marriages, and give the wife to someone else, that might already have a wife. We know that one person almost killed him for this. Thus Kirtanananda has clearly acted as an asura, again and again. And he would have no hesitation having anyone killed, as he did in the case of Sulocana. He might have avoided the justice of U.S. courts, but he has not faced the court of Yamaraja yet.
Strangely, sannyasis that faithfully served this asura have been allowed to even become Gurus in ISKCON, with no questions asked. At least they should have some shame and apologize for having faithfully served an asura. Some devotees still remain ignorant about all these things.
Reading 'Monkey on a Stick" may wake them up.
Srimad-Bhagavatam canto 5, chapter 14, text 30 warns us of serving a bogus guru/swami and warns us of becoming monkey-like disciples — a sobering chapter. MAY LORD NARASIMHA PROTECT US FROM SERVING ANOTHER ASURA.
