Bangalore: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has dismissed complaint of Mumbai ISKCON alleging that Bangalore ISKCON has given wrong information in its annual audit report for 1991.

Also ICAI, which conducted the investigation of the complaint, in its council report opined that Mumbai ISKCON has misused Bangalore ISKCON’s 1991 annual report for its petitions.

Mumbai ISKCON Trustee Dayarama Das lodged complaint to ICAI in 2005 alleging that Bangalore ISKCON auditor has given wrong information in 1991 annual accounts. In this regard ICAI council has given its report in January, this year. ‘Mumbai ISKCON forged Bangalore ISKCON’s 1991 annual audit report submitted along with complaint to ICAI in such a way that it will be of benefit to its case against Bangalore ISKCON. Also, Dayarama Das in his complaint had alleged that Bangalore ISKCON’s then auditor Varadarajan has signed to one of ‘ISKCON India’s branch audit report. But he did not submit any proof to substantiate this allegation.’ says the report of ICAI council under the chairmanship of Jayadeep Narendra Sha. ‘Complainant has failed to submit Form 10b and other documents with regard to the

allegation made against Varadarajan and about wrong information in audit report. There are no words like ‘Branch’, ‘ISKCON Mumbai’ or ‘ISKCON India’ in the audit report submitted along with the complaint ‘, observed the ICAI report.
