In his article "Analysis of Cheater" (http://www.hareKrishna.com/sun/editorials/01-12/editorials8203.htm) Mahashringa Prabhu writes about ISKCON Leaders stealing dough from ISKCON and putting it in private bank accounts due to fear that who will maintain them if they fall down or leave ISKCON or are thrown out. He further states that "GBC is weak when it comes to enforcement of their own Resolutions and justice is impossible for among thieves.
First, GBC is not weak, it is corrupt, GBC is a very big part of the problem. In the beginning 11 self proclaimed Gurus took over and then they threw bribe in front of everyone – you can become Guru or Sannyasi – we are setting up committees and guidelines for each post – – just prepare for it and help us save Srila Prabhupada's movement (to which they give lip service).
They set up "Guru Rubber Stamping Factory" and "Sannyas Ministry". GBC covers up all nonsense that goes on in ISKCON and Sannyasis, Gurus, and Devotees are expected to go along and get along or get tossed out. Think of this operating philosophy of GBC over last 35 years "You are qualified to be "As Good As God Guru" or Sannyasi but you are not qualified to be GBC". This is evident that every Guru or Sannyasi is not a GBC. This is how GBC controls everyone.
Secondly, justice among thieves is thriving – they are not killing each other – there is no mafia war among the thieves – may be small skirmishes – over all crooks and thieves in the leadership in ISKCON Gang are doing fine. It is the honest and hardworking who are being exploited and denied justice when they seek it. They need to wake up and not allow ISKCON Gang leaders to take them for a ride. They need to correct the management in ISKCON or leave so called ISKCON. By going along and getting along with crooked Gang Leaders these honest and hard working devotees will get bad karma. That is one of the lessons from Mahabharata that Drona, Bhishma, etc., did not speak out when Draupadi was being disrobed.
Third, ISKCON Gang leaders should have some faith in the assurance given by Lord Krishna in
following verses and not be fearful and become thieves (steal dough from ISKCON and put it into their private accounts).
Chapter 6, Verse 37.
Arjuna said: What is the destination of the man of faith who does not persevere, who in the beginning takes to the process of self-realization but who later desists due to worldly- mindedness and thus does not attain perfection in mysticism?
Chapter 6, Verse 38.
O mighty-armed Krishna, does not such a man, being deviated from the path of Transcendence, perish like a riven cloud, with no position in any sphere?
Chapter 6, Verse 39.
This is my doubt, O Krishna, and I ask You to dispel it completely. But for Yourself, no one is to be found who can destroy this doubt.
Chapter 6, Verse 40.
The Blessed Lord said: Son of Partha, a transcendentalist engaged in auspicious activities does not meet with destruction either in this world or in the spiritual world; one who does good, My friend, is never overcome by evil.
Chapter 6, Verse 41.
The unsuccessful yogi, after many, many years of enjoyment on the planets of the pious living entities, is born into a family of righteous people, or into a family of rich aristocracy.
Chapter 6, Verse 42.
Or he takes his birth in a family of transcendentalists who are surely great in wisdom. Verily, such a birth is rare in this world.
Chapter 6, Verse 43.
On taking such a birth, he again revives the divine consciousness of his previous life, and he tries to make further progress in order to achieve complete success, O son of Kuru.
Chapter 6, Verse 44.
By virtue of the divine consciousness of his previous life, he automatically becomes attracted to the yogic principles–even without seeking them. Such an inquisitive transcendentalist, striving for yoga, stands always above the ritualistic principles of the scriptures.
Chapter 6, Verse 45.
But when the yogi engages himself with sincere endeavor in making further progress, being washed of all contaminations, then ultimately, after many, many births of practice, he attains the supreme goal.
Fourth, Brahmabhuta Platform: ISKCON Gang leaders talk about four regulative principles and being in good standing they do not practice it. If they do then they will be always truthful. Following regulative principles is basic requirement for all devotees (Sannyas, Vanaprastha, Grihastha, and Brahmachari) to abstain from sinful activities for all. It does not qualify one to be Guru.
Guru has to be at least on Brahmabhuta platform. GBC's "Guru Rubber Stamping Factory" has appointed kanisthas as Gurus and many of them (ISKCON Gang Members – GBCs, Gurus,
Sannyasis, Temple Presidents, and so called Senior Devotees) have acted like Rouges, Thugs, and Rascals while pretending to be Rajarshis and GBC has covered up all this nonsense – including intimidation of men, women, and children – abuse and/or molestation of children, embezzlement of funds, murders).
Following verses describe how one can rise to the Brahmabhuta platform and what are symptoms and behavior of one who is on the Brahmabhuta platform. Only liberated person is "abhaya – fearless": (1) How one can rise to the Brahmabhuta platform? mam ca yo 'vyabhicarena bhakti-yogena sevate sa gunan samatityaitan brahma-bhuyaya kalpate Chapter 14, Verse 26. (brahma-bhuyaya kalpate) One who engages in full devotional service, who does not fall down in any circumstance, at once transcends the modes of material nature and thus comes to the level of Brahman.
(2) What are symptoms and behavior of one who has transcended modes of material nature?
Chapter 14, Verse 22-25.
The Blessed Lord said: He who does not hate illumination, attachment and delusion when they are present, nor longs for them when they disappear; who is seated like one unconcerned, being situated beyond these material reactions of the modes of nature, who remains firm, knowing that the modes alone are active; who regards alike pleasure and pain, and looks on a clod, a stone and a piece of gold with an equal eye; who is wise and holds praise and blame to be the same; who is unchanged in honor and dishonor, who treats friend and foe alike, who has abandoned all fruitive undertakings–such a man is said to have transcended the modes of nature.
(3) Following verses give more information on symptoms and behavior of one on the Brahmabhuta Platform: Chapter 18, Verse 50.
O son of Kunti, learn from Me in brief how one can attain to the supreme perfectional stage, Brahman, by acting in the way I shall now summarize.
Chapter 18, Verse 51-53. (brahma-bhuyaya kalpate) Being purified by his intelligence and controlling the mind with determination, giving up the objects of sense gratification, being freed from attachment and hatred, one who lives in a secluded place, who eats little and who controls the body and the tongue, and is always in trance and is detached, who is without false ego, false strength, false pride, lust, anger, and who does not accept material things, such a person is certainly elevated to the position of self- realization.
Chapter 18, Verse 54.
One who is thus transcendentally situated at once realizes the Supreme Brahman. He never laments nor desires to have anything; he is equally disposed to every living entity. In that state he attains pure devotional service unto Me.
Chapter 5, Verse 27-28. (liberated soul is free from desire, fear, and anger) Shutting out all external sense objects, keeping the eyes and vision concentrated between the two eyebrows, suspending the inward and outward breaths within the nostrils — thus controlling the mind, senses and intelligence, the transcendentalist becomes free from desire, fear and anger. One who is always in this state is certainly liberated.
Fifth, the path for rising to the Brahmabhuta platform: Chapter 2, Verse 64.
One who can control his senses by practicing the regulated principles of freedom can obtain the complete mercy of the Lord and thus become free from all attachment and aversion. raga-dvesa-vimuktais tu visayan indriyais caran atma-vasyair vidheyatma prasadam adhigacchati Srila Prabhupada writes in the purport "It is already explained that one may externally control the senses by some artificial process, but unless the senses are engaged in the transcendental service of the Lord, there is every chance of a fall." Chapter 2, Verse 65.
For one who is so situated in the Divine consciousness, the threefold miseries of material existence exist no longer; in such a happy state, one's intelligence soon becomes steady. prasade sarva-duhkhanam hanir asyopajayate prasanna-cetaso hy asu buddhih paryavatisthate Sixth, Pretenders: BG 3.4: Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection.
PURPORT
The renounced order of life can be accepted when one has been purified by the discharge of the prescribed form of duties which are laid down just to purify the hearts of materialistic men.
Without purification, one cannot attain success by abruptly adopting the fourth order of life (sannyasa). According to the empirical philosophers, simply by adopting sannyasa, or retiring from fruitive activities, one at once becomes as good as Narayana. But Lord Krishna does not approve this principle. Without purification of heart, sannyasa is simply a disturbance to the social order.
BG 3.6: One who restrains the senses of action but whose mind dwells on sense objects certainly deludes himself and is called a pretender.
PURPORT
There are many pretenders who refuse to work in Krishna consciousness but make a show of meditation, while actually dwelling within the mind upon sense enjoyment. Such pretenders may also speak on dry philosophy in order to bluff sophisticated followers, but according to this verse these are the greatest cheaters.
For sense enjoyment one can act in any capacity of the social order, but if one follows the rules and regulations of his particular status, he can make gradual progress in purifying his existence.
But he who makes a show of being a yogi while actually searching for the objects of sense gratification must be called the greatest cheater, even though he sometimes speaks of philosophy.
His knowledge has no value, because the effects of such a sinful man's knowledge are taken away by the illusory energy of the Lord. Such a pretender's mind is always impure, and therefore his show of yogic meditation has no value whatsoever.
(Note: What happens to disciples/followers who have been hearing from such pretenders?)
